Dr. Kovachevich is the most recent addition to our practice, joining Hand Surgery Associates in 2012 after completing his fellowship. Dr. Kovachevich is highly trained in surgery of the hand, elbow, and shoulder. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has completed an added subspecialty certification in Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Kovachevich has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals, and lectures both locally and nationally on upper extremity issues. He maintains membership in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), the Colorado Orthopedic Society, and Rocky Mountain Hand Society. Dr. Kovachevich is also certified for State of Colorado Workers Compensation Level II. 

He has vast experience in complex hand and upper extremity conditions and has special interests in:

Dr. Kovachevich was voted at his medical school graduation as “Most likely to play a doctor on TV.” He is still awaiting his big break. When not taking care of his patients, Dr. Kovachevich enjoys spending time with his family and being active outdoors. He can routinely be found on the local Colorado trails systems running and hiking, or skiing in the mountains in the winter. As a life-long athlete and former collegiate competition runner, Dr. Kovachevich is focused on getting his patients back to their own active Colorado lifestyles.
